What’s that you say? Literature and bunnies in less than 60 seconds? I’ll take it.

Yesterday’s roof repair was quite the adventure, so I’m hoping for a quiet day today. This weekend I’ve got lots of boring plans—grocery shopping, cleaning, running lame, necessary errands.

On a better note, the return to routine (without schoolwork for once in my life!) has opened up a small time slot for reading. Since returning from vacation, I’ve finished Jess Walter’s excellent novel, The Financial Lives of the Poets (so heartbreaking! so hilarious!), and have just begun Bonnie Jo Campbell’s new book, Once Upon a River.
