The blog returns! I hope you’ve enjoyed my Instagram photos over the past three weeks. I must confess, I probably opened my computer only five or six times the whole trip.

My last hoorah at school was pretty wonderful—my poetry reading went off well, my thesis review proved to be un-stressful, and graduation was quite the excellent celebration. Then the long-awaited trip to Washington state, with kayaking (we saw a seal!), traipsing around various marketplaces, and a peaceful few days at a cabin on Puget Sound. Now, of course, I’m back to work, and my apartment building is undergoing roof repairs today (sounds like the elephant & hippo tap dance class in here). So here are a few lovely things I stumbled upon over the past few weeks, in between adventuring and eating delicious food.
